HonestPrintCo is a hobby project of mine and started back in 2015 when we just moved to our new house after getting married, and had one string of lights. I started making and posting "holidoodles" on instagram trying to get myself in the Christmas spirit. People liked them so much that they wanted to buy them. Thus, the birth of an Etsy store and a few prints every once in a while created HonestPrintCo. Visit the store @: etsy.com/shop/HonestPrints.

Apollo Men's Health (Logo)
Being tasked to come up with a company name that should be legitimate and trustworthy was a pretty tall order for a designer that didn't have much marketing experience at the time. I actually started with colors, not a name. Choosing colors that looked clean, trusting, modern and simple in any combination was my initial thought. BMG's logo was so horizontal and a pain to deal with when scaling it down or with different colors, so it was very intentional to make sure I didn't regurgitate anything like it.
As for the name, I often go to scripture or greek mythology for inspiration. Apollo is the god of medicine and healing, and was usually depicted with his lyre or bow and arrow. A couple quick sketches brought into illustrator and I used the "A's" stroke as the bow and there you have it.

EHM's logo was a bit of a curveball for me. It stands for E-Health Marketing, with the addition of media for a better description of what it is we do. It wasn't my decision, but it represented a unique challenge because spelling it out almost doesn't make sense to the audience. So I was forced to only show the "EHM."
Inspired by the printing process, I chose the CMYK printing process because I always like the way those colors come together and look in both print and digital format. The all caps version was our initial design using primary colors, followed by the two final versions.
The Men's Clinic
In 2016, Boston Medical Group was forced to split up into 2 separate entities. I was tasked with providing a logo for the new, second, company. Client said they wanted something simple, like the Vetruvian man in purple. I came up with a number of ideas, but none of them looked simple or masculine.
If we wanted to push a lot of money behind a brand new company, we had to make sure it wasn't wasted on an unfamiliar, basically dull logo that wouldn't look good or even recognizable at certain sizes.
I decided I'd take the icon approach, having recently come off from doing another logo with a spartan mask, I used the USC colors to aid in the design process. I developed an icon , but the client eventually took it out of it's box and just wanted the words out as I had them in Montserrat typeface, bold, trojan red.
Updating a site that had been originally created back in the late 90's, I was pulled of from my design work to go to Las Vegas and help out the pharmacy BMG used to reface their website - Meditech Laboratories. It was my first time delving into the web design territory, and used Wix to help me out. Very basic, clean, but has helped the pharmacy grow in business, filling more prescriptions than just BMG patients, and helping to get license in more states than ever before.
Over the years, BMG had renamed and been managed for many companies. With the addition of a pharmacy, a blood lab, media buying agency, and management services company, I was always being tossed into secret meetings about new company names and creating all assets for them. Here are a few examples.

Apollo Men's Health (Site)
Apollo Men's Health is a project I was able to build from the ground up with a colleague as a way to drive more leads to Boston Medical Group without any BMG branding. BMG had been having issues with lead generation and financial issues with Google so I was tasked to create the company name, logo, and website (Wix) for the "new" company. We decided to make it more of a 1-800 Dentist where we could bring on more doctors than we had and push patients their way. This is what initially got me into content development and visual design as I was hands on from the start to what this is now. While the subject matter isn't what I like, it provided me, and continues to provide me with a real-time tool to tinker and learn from. Visit www.ApolloMensHealthNetwork.com.
